Rating: Summary: They cannot accept the truth! Review: A NOTE TO THE AUTHOR:anybody with half a brain can recognise the half truths and biased opinions in your book.so do yourself a favour and the public and try doing something else with your time instead of writting this type of stuff.
this book has to be the worst piece of writing i've ever seen.the author emphasizes on racism,anti-semitics,ect. but is displaying to us his own hate of the islamic nation.
another major problem is that i simply cannot belive that an entire nation are terrorists and every muslim is evil(which is the general message of the book)
he portrays the jews as victims, what about the palestinains that are killed by the millions, that are tortured at the hands of jews.what about historical events of 1940,s, what about the recent bombing of an entire mosque during the noon prayers killing more than ahundred innocent poeple, workers, students, kids. are we supposed to over look this because these people are muslims and thier lives of worthless because they are evil.
in this book he also gives us a pic of america as the perfect nation, the righters of all evel, the constant good-doers always trying to save the world. what we dont see is thier wrongs. idont think that african slaves would think them as a perfect nation,or the present black people living in america..what about vietnam, the senseless wars in iraq killing thousands of muslims aday, then portraying them as terorists for defending thier lives, famalies, properties, and people.
another major problem is the author is totally biased.when looking at a problem it has two or more faces, this book represents it all from one face.the author who is supposed to be a reporter is totally unobjective, which is very important when writing about such sensitive matters.
some poeple that have read this book claim that it has given them an insight for an issue that they were unaware of(which is every muslim is a terrorist)the only thing that i can say is these poeple were asleep during the last 30-40 years.if the word of an arab and islamic hater is their wake up call too bad, poeple like timmerman are the stem of all hatred.
a piece of advice would be for all those other reviewers who gave this book over one star(which is the fairest any one could do)i would suggest to do some reasearch before taking the opinion of a racist and islamic hater and then reevaluate.
one reviewer said to look at several verses of the quran, i guess like most he was only looking for something incriminating and not the truth.if you want to understand it go to the islamic teachers that ar muslims not jews and muslim haters that dont understand it.
the last thing i would like to mention is that its poeple like timmerman all the problems so instead of beliving everything you read go back to history,go to muslims and try to see it from thier perspective too.
Rating: Summary: should've tried something diffrent Review: after reading this book i was not only dissapionted i was disgusted.if this was supposed to be a book about truth and facts about islam and the arabic world its a completed failure cause most of its contents are........
first of all the book does not deal with the problem of antisemitics the author gives us his opinion in the first few pages. another thing that is completly dumb is to look for love between two warring nations.this is pussosed to be about facts.
the author also tries to make us belive that all muslims hate america, hate the west, hate jews,hate.hate.hate.
ive gotta say ive seen alot of work about muslims and stuff but this was the worst most biased most stupid piece of writting that ive ever seen.
there is also a problem with islamic history. he just doesnt understand the cause of hate between these two nations.another fact that amazed me is that every muslim man, women, or child is supposed to be a terrorist.
im not saying i agree with this hate between jews and muslims but to understand it you have to look at it from thier view. each nation is fighting for what they belive in,for thier land, people, and county.so what makes one nation killers and terrorists and thier leaders examples of hitler( thats how he portrays them in the book) and the other a wronged nation fight for a rightful cause and injustice done to them.
when i buy abook that is not fiction i expect to find truths and facts not opinions and lies. the only reason i gave this book one star is that i couldnt give it less.
if your wanting to understand the problems between jews and muslims go back to jweish and islamic history and look at it from both perspectives. after reading this book that is the first thing i did going to islamic and jewish historians.both nations fight for a cause that they belive in that is holy to them, and is the cause of thier hatred not some fictional protocols and something as recent as ninteenth century.
Rating: Summary: A Chilling Read About Freedom's Latest Enemy Review: Anti-Semitism is on the rise around the world, as experienced political journalist Kenneth Timmerman ("The Selling Out of America"; "The French Betrayal of America") explains in his riveting and at times downright scary examination of modern Islam. Timmerman's book is based upon a journal he kept while traveling in various parts of the world. From it, he explores the roots of Islam's hatred of Western values and freedom by examining the religion's brutal history, historical sources, and how it is being taught to young people in societies around the world--including mosques here in America. Ironically, it is being taught as a benign and misunderstood religion in our own schools by teachers who know little about history or have their own agenda. This is a serious book that deserves a wide audience, especially among young people in Western countries. Highly Recommended.
Rating: Summary: Educate youself Review: Books such as these are complete garbage... Just a tip, if you want to learn the teachings of Islam, go to a Scolar of Islam, don't turn to an AMerican, a Jew, or a non-Muslim... Islam does not preach hate, and if you believe that, I am sorry for your stupidity. But hey, I guess that is what you get for living in Iowa... ignorance. I pray that you seek sound knowledge, not one based from people with lack of it!
Rating: Summary: Ignorance Reigns Supreme Review: First of all, how can they be teaching anti-semetism in Arab classes when Arabic is a semetic language??This is just one example of how this author's flippant arguments and claims are unfounded and just plain ignorant. I like to check out these books written about the evils of Islam, only to find out time and time again that the author has NO education about Islam whatsoever. Being a very recent convert to Islam (yes I'm a blonde-haired blue-eyed white boy from California!) it depresses me to see all of this garbage out there, and how people are gullable enough to buy into it. If you really want to learn about Islam, dont buy this trash; buy "A Complete Idiot's Guide to Understanding Islam" by Yahiya Emerick. Thank you, and Godbless.
Rating: Summary: ominously revealing! Review: First, to clear something up. In the review written by (ipcostello from California United States) this book is criticized because of it's incorrect usage of the word "anti-semitism." Timmerman clearly goes into detail about meaning of this word and its' origins. Therefore the above mentioned reviewer either did not read the book, or did not read it carefully. Now about the book... It is a frightening (and sad) look at how the rest of the world views America, Israel, and Jews. Specifically, it focuses on the views and actions of the Islamic faith in various parts of the world. Although I was already somewhat aware that not everybody loves us ( I am American, though not a Jew.) I had no idea just how serious the situation is. This book is a major eye-opener. Timmerman goes into subjects such as: Holocost denial, 9-11 conspiricay theories, the corruption in Yassar Arafat's PA, and probably most concerning, the outright openness of the hatred that is being taught in the Arab world (Islam) toward Jews and Americans. The revelations are shocking. Although this book is thouroughly informative (almost to a fault) I do not feel it deserves five stars for two reasons. First, at parts, it is dreadfully difficult to follow. It reads more like a college thesis than a book published for the masses. Secondly, I wish that Timmerman wrote in a less cerebrial manner and threw in some explanations for the lay-person. Considering everything, this will not read like that mystery novel you will take on vacation. That does not mean that it isn't worthy of being read. I would recommend it for a couple reasons. I found it to be very informative. I also liked this book because it gave me a better outlook (although not positive) about how certain other cultures see America.

Rating: Summary: A reader in California Review: I already knew many of the facts in this book, but the way it brought the pieces of the puzzle together has profoundly changed my view of the world we live in. It paints a very perilous and distressing situation, not unlike the world of the 1930s.
Rating: Summary: uncovering the truths of Islam Review: Islam rules its countries by hate. Islam means 'submission to god'. How does this apply to the modern world? Well the author, Mr. Zimmerman, coming off his succesful expose of Jackson, shows us how Islam preaches hate. Now what the author explains is that this mainstream hate isnt just your average 'kill the infidel' hate it is actually a deeply ingrained hate. Zimmerman looks into a phenomenon that has taken the Islamic and western world by storm. Among Muslims the phony book 'Elders of Zion' is widely read and beleived to be true. But thats not the worst of it, argues Zimmerman. The Western media today is in cahoots with Islam by becoming so anti-Israel and by beleiving Palistinian lies like the myth of the massacre at 'Jenin'. Zimmerman clearly illustrates the current crises in the west in regards to confronting the intolerance and hate that is widely assocciated with main stream Islam. A great book, that opens the gate to the anti-semitism of the western press and the Islamic world.
Rating: Summary: Wake-up Call Review: Kenneth Timmerman deserves our thanks for his exposure of the chilling mechanics of today's Islamic and leftist anti-semitism which targets Christians, Jews and the entirety of western culture.
"Preachers of Hate" is a compelling wake-up call that the outrage of September 11, 2001 is not merely "...a day of infamy..." but a threat that "...we will bury you..."
His opinions are founded on extensive interviews with Islamic clergy, interviews with many of the participants in the Arab/Israeli (Jewish) "peace process" and with public records.
In short, the provenance of his sources and his opinions can readily be confirmed by anyone who has the will to do so.
I, for one, have viewed many of his findings over the years and strongly concur with his conclusions, even his characterization of "European limousine liberals". Noam Chomsky is representative of the academic malaise, most recently manifesting itself in Columbia University's cesspool of overt anti-semitism among its academic staff and student body, afflicting the academic world in America and Europe, formerly bastions of open and scholarly discourse.
The chapter, "The Islamic Republic of America", documents the extent to which there is a growing 5th column in America largely funded by Saudi Arabia. The Muslim Brotherhood similarly is bankrolling cells. Some two decades ago, Ismail al-Furaqi, a Temple University professor, voiced his aspiration that America was on its way to becoming an Islamic commonwealth.
Thanks to Professor Mark Rosenbloom, Political Director of Americans for Peace Now, and to post-zionist historian Avi Shlaim, it was clear that Yossi Beilin's Oslo was a complete fraud, undercutting at every turn the late Yitzchak Rabin. Timmerman details how Norway's fascist anti-semites were midwives to Beilin's perfidy.
"Preachers of Hate" deserves the widest circulation. I am donating a copy to The Baltimore Hebrew University's Meyerhoff Library and recommend all purchasers/readers do the same to reach out to those for whom 9/11 was not a wake-up call.
