Summary: Fantastic series! You won't be disappointed.
Review: If you have not read Sue Grafton's alphabet series try to get a copy of the first one "A is for Alibi" and keep going until you catch up with the latest. Grafton's Kinsey Millhone is someone you will care about. She is so true to life, from her old VW to her handy little black dress that can go from crumpled to fashionable in a jiffy. She is down to earth and efficient but can make mistakes just like the rest of us. She has my vote for top female detective. I usually wait for paperbacks but not for Sue Grafton books!

Summary: Will Kinsey Be Able to Tell the Bad Guy Behind the Scenes?
Review: In this Kinsey Millhone novel, "E" is definitely for evidence. There was a fire that took place at the warehouse which is a family business. The feeling was that it was arson that had been committed and Kinsey thinks so as well when she gets called on the case. Which member of the family would be that angry? Or is it an outsider who feels he was given a raw deal?

There is also murders going on as well. And Kinsey suspects one of the four kids. As she investigates further into the scenes, it might be too late for Kinsey herself.

Summary: Planted Evidence
Review: Kinsey on the take? Kinsey must solve this mystery as her own reputation is on the line. As you listen to Judy Kaye bring Sue Grafton's Kinsey Millhone to life, you can't help but fall in love with her quick wit and sense of humor. She intrigues you as she searches for clues to solve her latest mystery. My husband and I have enjoyed listening to several of Grafton's Alphabet series and the only regret is that there is only 26 letters.

Summary: an exceptionally entertaining detective fiction
Review: Kinsey, a wise-cracking but lovable ex-cop, now a private eye, thirty-two and twice divorced--no kids, takes on the most important client of her detective career, herself. She is funny and keenly observant, but this time she is caught unaware, and she's not laughing. She's been framed! She stands to lose everything if she doesn't solve the mysteries surrounding this case and clear her name. Sue Grafton has delivered her readers another exceptionally entertaining detective fiction.

Summary: yes
Review: Lots of twists and turns. Fast past. Emotional. There is one line that states my own experience/thoughts perfectly. "There's a certain class of people who will do you in and then remain completely mystified by the depth of your pain." Grafton is upfront & right-on. She is also VERY FUNNY. Her books are a gas to read.

Summary: Not my favorite, but...
Review: My rating is really 3 1/2 stars, but it's not an option and 4 is 1/2 too many. I actually had to will myself to sit down and read through this one, because I did find a lot of the beginning-middle dull and uninvolving. For me, the story only picked up (and, admittedly, when it did, it SURE did!) towards the last two-thirds of the book. However, as I'm now working my way through the series, this is in no way one you would want to skip over, especially since it does give some real insight into Kinsey's past. It also does contain some of the funniest and also truest wry comments Grafton has written.

Summary: Grafton triumphs again in this fifth outing.
Review: Seasoned loner Kinsey Millhone meets the family of an old school friend while investigating an industrial fire. Under suspicion herself, she nevertheless manages to solve the puzzle while also dealing with the return of her ne'er-do-well ex-husband.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A good example of the Kinsey Millhone series
Review: Sue Grafton always weaves a tight readable mystery. She is as much story teller as mystery author. Her mysteries hang together with no loose ends. Her plots are believable with no points that seem to be jammed in to make them work. Reading any Sue Grafton book is a pleasure from cover to cover, and this is no exception!
