Rating: Summary: A Thrilling Book Review: This book had a lot of suspense and will keep the reader guessing until the end. Although the book did contain alot of characters, which could be confusing, I enjoyed the book very much. The only problem was the ending. I felt that the book ended rather abruptly and the author didn't wrap up all of the loose ends. I closed the book feeling that I needed more insight on the main characters feelings and actions at the end. I do, however, recommend this book to anyone that enjoys Mary Higgins Clark.
Rating: Summary: Suspense down to the wire... Review: Well executed plot with an interesting twist. This book most definitely will keep you on the edge of your chair...I guarantee, you won't want to put it down. The female protagonist's character is a bit thin (needed a little more fleshing out) but nonetheless, this is such an unique story I will overlook that minor flaw. Mary Higgins Clark continues to amaze me with the ideas she comes up with for her novels. She is truly one of today's better writers. In her latest, the present day villain is obsessed by a journal he finds when he is just 14 years old. The journal contains explicit notes about three murders the writer committed back in the 1800's. For some reason, the young boy thinks that he has been reincarnated as this very serial killer and as he gets older decides to reinact the crimes much the same way as they were committed many years ago. He does in fact succeed with 2 victims, and naturally he has chosen Emily (our protagonist) as the third. Emily is a prominent defense attorney and somehow her personality just doesn't fit that role, but despite that I highly recommend this book as an entertaining read that will keep you guessing as to whom the real killer may be.
