Rating: Summary: An extraordinary woman's story Review: "Malice", from Danielle Steel, is the third book I've read from this internationally best selling author. It is the story of a seventeen year old girl and a secret to horrible to share with anybody. Even at the night of her mom's funeral she was attacked, and that was not the first time it happened. She decided that night would be her last one, and later on she pays the price for being brave. Grace Adams is a true survivor, a beautiful and shy girl that captivates people wherever she goes. The only thing she cannot forget is her past and those terrible years she lived. She has to carry her past wherever she goes. I recommend this book; it was well written and tells a story that I will never forget.
Rating: Summary: Malice Review: Danielle Steel writes about a difficult topic: an incestuous relationship between a father and a daughter. She brilliantly describes the painful fictional story and in the end there is a happy ending filled with hope and healing. Grace is a young teen-age girl who was repeated molested by her father beginning when she was 14years old. Her mother, a debilitated cancer patient, enabled and fostered the sick relationship in order make her husband happy. Her mother was also a physically and emotionally battered wife who felt like she could not stand up for herself and was terrified of her husband. Because Grace loved her family and because her father was so popular in the community, she kept the family's secrets as long as possible... The night her mother died, Grace was brutally raped by her father in her parent's bedroom. Grace had to stop him, so she pulled out the gun that was stashed in her mother's nightstand, aimed and then accidentally and shot her father. He died... Grace was sentenced to prison for murder... In prison, Grace got an education from a couple of inmates who teach her how to defend and believe in herself. As the story progresses, Grace is able to turn tragedy into triumph and is slowly able to overcome difficult situations and grow to be a stronger person. Each step of the way she is able to heal and find hope. This is a very inspirational story.

Rating: Summary: Malice: keeps you interested Review: Malice, by Danielle Steel, was such an awesome book. It was recommended to me by one of my friends when I was taking a best sellers class, where all you do is read. I wasn't a big reader before hand, so this was definitely a good book to get me started. I kept turning the page to find out what was going to happen next because it was so interesting and unpredictable. The plot was basically about a girl who was abused by her dad when she was younger and her mother died when she was only 13. She ended up shooting her father while he was raping her, and gets convicted of murder. She spends time in prison, and has to start a whole new life when she is released. She goes through her new life trying to cover up her old one, and it is extremely difficult for her. The main points were backed up by a lot of detail, and I just felt like I was in the book. The characters were also well-developed and interesting. This book can be very graphic and disturbing, so I don't recommend it to those who don't like that. Overall though, this was an excellent book.
Rating: Summary: The greatest modern book by Danielle Steel - unforgettable! Review: That was the first book by Danielle Steel I read, and one that I'll remember until the day I die, since his influence in me was so huge. The story of Grace Adams is wonderful from beginning to end. You cry, you laugh, you be afraid... but most important, you FEEL. It seems that you are there with her, suffering with her when she has problems and celebrating with her when she wins. But what's really interesting is the suspense of the book. It never stops. When Grace is escaping from a problem, another one comes and grab her... until she finds herself in love. But you will see that love doesn't means end of problems, much to the contrary, that they are only beginning. Since I read MALICE, I could never forget Danielle Steel. I discovered that she's not an author only for women. Through her books I discovered all kinds of emotion, good or bad, but everytime I finish reading one of her books, one thing is certain: the sensation of having read another excelent piece of writing. Long life to Danielle Steel! She really deserves all her success she has. Most of her books are unforgetable. MALICE is one of them. Get emotional you too through this book. You'll be another one to find this book one of her best! Marco Aurelio
Rating: Summary: VERY TOUCHING!! Review: This is the first Danielle Steel book I've read. It was really easy to "get in touch" with the characters in this book. Great plot, great characters, GREAT WRITING! For some people, the subject matter may not sit well - some parts of the story are graphic in content. You'll definitely need to keep a box of tissues next to the bed while you're reading this one. It brought tears to my eyes. Very touching story but sadly, some people are like Grace Adams in the real world. It really makes you step back and take a look at things like child abuse and domestic violence. The message this book gave to me was, "If Grace Adams can make it through what she's been through, so can I!!"
