Summary: It gets better and better
Review: book four was a page turner. i prefer to read books in order if they are in a series so if ur the same way then start w/ the unsung hero, the defiant hero (my personal fave), and over the edge which are all great books. out of control starts off strong and doesn't slow down. Ken was a cool hero (although my heart belongs to Starrett) and Savannah was hilirous. high maintance turns into tarzans jane, sort of. i love how the author can have three or four different stories going on, but i need to quit skipping through looking for more on Sam and Alyssa, then coming back and reading. i can't wait for muldoons story and more of Sam and Alyssa. if u haven't tried Ms Brockmann u don't know what ur missing. and if u love her also try Linda Howard.

Summary: The most entertaining book I have ever read!
Review: I cannot CANNOT!!! wait until the next installment in the series hits the shelf. This book had everything - non-stop action, hilarious dialogue, FOUR romances, and some very hot situations. I loved Wildcard - in the other books he's been seen as a complete screwup, not as the romantic hero of the story. I won't spoil it for anyone by giving away the storyline - but I don't think we have seen the last of Sam and Lys. I have to believe that Sam and Alyssa will get their Happy Ever After. (Hopefully in the next book - please Ms. Brockmann!) I loved the unexpected Molly/Jones story. If you want to read a book that will keep you up all night, this is it. Enjoy! Does anyone know when the next book will be released?

Summary: Did anyone else notice?
Review: I slogged through this book just wanting to see how the author would end the all too many story lines. Some of it was interesting. But I had a difficult time believing anything in the story after the mistake in chapter 4. Earlier the characters Ken and Savannah discuss (at Ken's house) the fact that he was a SEAL. He even accuses Savannah of being a "SEAL groupie". Then in chapter 4 Savannah "slips" and says he is a SEAl, and he gets mad! What was up with that? Am I the only one who noticed? Ms. Brockman needs to slow down a bit, not have so many story lines and try to keep her own story straight. This was one of the worst books I've ever wasted a weekend trip with!

Summary: Just keeps getting better!
Review: I'm a big fan of Suzanne Brockmann's SEAL books, both the Silhouette Intimate Moments and the Troubleshooters series. I get completely caught up in the suspense and emotion of her books. NO ONE does action/adventure romance better! And OUT OF CONTROL is no exception. It starts off with a bang (literally) and I was hooked. I didn't care for Ken Carmody in the previous books too much but he grew on me here, and Savannah was a great match for him. The two subplots were diverting, especially the World War II story, and Sam and Alyssa's story moves along as well, although not very satisfactorily for them. Can't wait for their book.

If you haven't read Brockmann before, this series starts with THE UNSUNG HERO, but it's not necessary to have read the others for anything but the Sam and Alyssa plot. If you are looking for a good, fast paced romantic thriller, you can't go wrong with Suzanne Brockmann!

Summary: Another keeper from Suzanne Brockmann
Review: This book, like its predecessors, is fast-paced, sexy, and fun. It is the fourth in a series that has many readers hooked. The author has taken a minor character from her previous books, the obnoxious computer whiz SEAL Wildcard, and turned him into a terrific lead. The subplots are engaging and well-woven into the story. The book stands well on its own for those who haven't read the first three, but there is a continuing saga of two characters, Sam and Alyssa, that has built (and hooked readers) throughout the earlier books.

Summary: Adventure in the jungle--a real page-turner
Review: When her uncle is kidnapped, heiress Savannah von Hopf sets off to pay the ransom. Savannah is ready to do what it takes to rescue her uncle but she's not too proud to look for some help--especially if that help can come from handsome Navy Seal WildCard Ken Karmody. Especially since she's had a mad crush on Karmondy for years. When they arrive in Jakarta, though, the simple ransom exchange goes horribly wrong. Savannah and Karmondy are themselves kidnapped. Almost equally bad from Savannah's point of view, the man she is quickly falling in love with thinks she is a mercenary witch.

Back in the U.S., the FBI and Karmondy's Seal team are setting up for a rescue of their own. Savannah's uncle is the son of a World War II spy-heroine and the special forces aren't about to forget their debts.

Author Suzanne Brockmann weaves together an exciting adventure as Savannah and Karmondy wade through the twin jungles of Indonesia and of their passion and distrust. A parallel romance between missionary Molly Anderson and pilot 'Dave Jones' strengthens the story. Indeed, the romance between Molly and 'Jones' is truly the more powerful and angst-ridden of the two.

Some teriffic action, some serious jungle survival, and just enough of the continuing character development of the FBI and Seal teams round out the strengths of this fine novel.

I found the outtakes from the World War II memoires to add little to the story and lack the emotional intensity of the present-day romances but this did little to detract from the compelling story line.
