Rating: 4 stars
Summary: a good read
Review: a good book but not one of the best by judith krantz.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Spring Collection Was Great!!!
Review: I have always been a Danielle Steel fan and have read all her books, so in an effort to have something new to read I checked out Judith Krantz. I am so glad I started with Spring Collection and followed with the Jewels of Tessa Kent. Judith is an awesome writer and I will surely be checking out her older books, as well as any new releases...

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: frothy, light entertainment, well written but a bit shallow
Review: I like her books, I really do! Wonderful text, good language, well-paced stories.

However, books like Till We Meet Again, Princess Daisy or Dazzle showed the characters growing and developping, while Scruples 2, Lovers and this one are just like - and Krantz says it herself towards the end of the book - like an extra long episode of Love Boat. You enjoy it hugely, but you cannot get emotionally involved with her characters as much as in her other novels.

The book was a treat, I'll read the next one as soon as it comes out, but I hope that, at some point, Judith Krantz will write something a bit more emotionally strong again, not just the best soap opera in the world. But then, I am not complaining (too much), the best soap opera is still mighty good reading!!

Summary: Offensive
Review: I'm not a great fan of Judith Krantz but bought this book anyway for a quarter at a thrift store. I'm glad I didn't pay more. As usual, Ms. Krantz works harder at trying to impress us with her knowledge of the glitzy jet set and fashion than she does at realistic dialogue. She has some good characters who have looks, intelligence, honor, and the potential to be really memorable but she destroys it everytime she has them open their mouth.

The worst part of this book was the sensuality. She outdid herself with graphic detail in the sexual scenes that were abusive and violent but skimmed over the tender moments between people who had real affection for each other. I won't waste another quarter.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Undoubtedly Krantz
Review: Well, it seems like Judith Krantz did it again. But this one takes us to the glittering world of fashion. I can say that this is not the best from her, although it's not intellectually reading, it's an enjoyable read. I hope that her next novel, "The Jewels of Tessa Kent", will be better. I can't wait. I hope that she won't fail us this time.
