Review: Being a native of New Orleans, I always enjoy literature about life in the Big Easy, but this one tops the cake! Even if the story wasn't hysterical, the language in each sentence would have you laughing out loud. It was absolutely therapeutic!

Review: This book is beautifully crafted. Apparently Judy Conner has inherited an attribute she credits to her father: not a single word is wasted. At the same time, Conner's voice comes through loud and clear.
On the surface, this is a book about an ex-husband and an ex-dog, but the reader will quickly realize that it's really about how much fun it is to know people well and to live among them.
Others have written that they could not put this book down. I had to put it down, but found I couldn't wait to pick it up again. This is a superb choice for the pool or the beach or picking up the kids at school. Just don't let those kids read over your shoulder.
