Summary: Delightful!
Review: This book contains many familiar images, but also many more you may never have seen before. I especially enjoyed the photos that show Jackie appearing less guarded than usual (the one of the First Lady skeptically being hugged by a Prime Minister is terrific). As the book goes on and Jackie matures, there are fewer and fewer of these unguarded pix ... once she became Jackie O, it seems the famous smile was frozen in place. Still, I enjoyed this book and recommend it to anyone who remembers her fondly.

Summary: What a Beautiful Book!
Review: This is a great book chock full of pictures of Jackie O. I've admired her a long time and haven't seen most of these shots--there's even one of her and JFK in a penny arcade photo booth before they were married! I expected great pictures from the book, but I was surprised by how interesting the captions are too--it really amounts to a pictorial biography. I heartily recommend this book to anyone who admires Jackie!

Summary: Why I'm proud of "Jackie: Her Life in Pictures"
Review: This is my first book in five years, since "Streisand Her Life" in 1995. I'm particularly proud of it because I worked very hard to get as many unpublished photographs of Mrs. Onassis as possible, and I succeeded! Most of the 250 images in this book have never been seen before, including one of Jack and Jackie posing in a penny arcade photo booth before their marriage! There are many more wonderful images of Jackie as a child, a socialite, an inquiring photographer, a Senate wife, First Lady, John F. Kennedy's widow, Aristotle Onassis's wife, a working book editor, and a mother and grandmother. I feel confident that my book will be treasured by all those to whom Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy Onassis was a very special woman indeed--an American icon.
