Summary: Laurie really delivers!
Review: Laurie Notaro once again has me choking with laughter! While this book is hillarious as a stand-alone, it's particularly gratifiying for long-time fans, as it finally provides the behind-the-scenes details of those scary weeks when her column was disappearing from the corporate newspaper and website where I learned to love her writing. It also brings back favorite comedic accomplices from the previous books, including Jamie, one of the original Idiot Girls, in the best of these hillarious essays. The situations in which Laurie finds herself seem very familiar to me and many others, but it is her scathing wit that truly sets them apart. This book certainly left me wanting more, but it is not as quick a read as it first appears, since you will frequently find yourself pausing, doubled over with laughter.

Summary: A bright shining light of sarcasm.
Review: Mrs. Notaro is a beacon of common sense in a world gone crazy with rude and obnoxious people, shining her light of sarcasm and straight talk onto jerks and morons alike. So many of her chapters ring true of things I have thought and not said, or didn't have the sense of humor to make them funny. Her humor seems to be the only thing keeping Mrs. Notaro sane. Now every time I have a run in with a thoughtless self-centered jerk or jack-a$$ boss I think of this book and chuckle. Thanks Notaro for showing me the only way not to have an aneurism is to laugh.

I highly recommend this book and I cannot wait to read her other works.

Summary: A laugh-outloud look at life!
Review: My sister-in-law handed me "I Love Everybody" and said, "You've got to read this." And I gave myself a day off and read away...laughing my way through Laurie Notaro's hilarious insights into her life. Truly, it was one of my favorite books of the year. Notaro has a wonderful left-of-center view of the world that is sure to make your day.

Summary: Stale
Review: Nothing in this book is fresh; it's all been done before and I believe it was in a comic strip called "Cathy". Each chapter is like every rant I've ever read (twice) in an email or on Craigslist, strung together with a few poo poo words for humor. It doesn't even have characters, just recycled and all-too-familiar aspects of a working woman's life: the editor who cannot write, the manager who just had a baby, the struggle between career and family, a crazy mother, a new age friend.

Summary: You will snort!
Review: Of all of her books, Notaro's latest venture, _I Love Everybody_ is certainly her best yet, and easiest for this 30-something to relate to. Anything about her mother's QVC addiction sends me into giggle fits, as my mother is much the same. The best chapter I've read so far, though, is the chapter about The Sims. If you have played The Sims you MUST READ this chapter. Tears were streaming down my face and I was hiccupping for air as I read. I tried several times to read it to my husband, but finally just thrust the book at him because I couldn't string a sentence together without laughing so hard it hurt.

Notaro is truly one of the funniest writers of our time. Her writing flows like a conversation with your best friend. Buy the book. You won't be disappointed.

Summary: Thank You Laurie
Review: This third book again had my whole family laughing and shrieking in delight. Just as fresh, well written, and hilarious as Laurie's first two. Her writing style continues to mature, even as it retains the unparalleled uniqueness that is Laurie Notaro. Met her at a booksigning for this book. She is beautiful inside and out. She read some items from her fourth book - can hardly wait for it since we devoured this third one in 24 hours. You rock Laurie.
