Summary: Highly entertaining and surprising history of Fleetwood Mac
Review: I fully expected to read all the "soap-opera-ish" accounts of the turbulent Nicks-Buckingham early years (you do get plenty of this), but I didn't realize the original Fleetwood Mac had such an interesting early history! I've heard all the stories about this account not being 100% factual, but, even if it's not entirely accurate, it's very definetly worth the read. Fleetwood's self-depricating humor and honest (to a fault) dialouge make this one of the best Rock books that I've read...highly recommended.

Summary: A must for any Fleetwood Mac fan!
Review: I had to wait a year and a half to get this book (it was already out of print). but boy, was it worthwhile! An insiders view of the often turbulent career of one of the greatest bands ever! Mick Fleetwood tells it all with an open heart. The book smells sincerity and the drummer gives us one of the best biographies I ever saw, telling all the good or bad facts he saw during his 25 plus years in the band. Unlyke meny other books about rock bands, mr. Fleetwood doe not try to hide anything about the rock life he gone through. I could not stop reading it until I finished it. A very touching book. As a human being and musician mr. Fleetwood has got my respect. Long Live Fleetwood Mac!

Summary: Enjoyable read
Review: Mick Fleetwood (possibly with help from his writing partner) has a funny, straightforward, conversational style in this book that makes it enjoyable to read. He's very informative about Fleetwood Mac, the band with such a long history. Mick has a good sense of humor about himself and his weaknesses; he discusses bankruptcy, other legal problems, drinking and drug use, affairs, and all kinds of rowdiness with humor and (seemingly) nothing to hide. Admittedly I read this book because I'm more of a Stevie Nicks fan than a Fleetwood Mac muscial group fan - there's some good stuff about her, too, once the Mac is reinventing itself in California. Thumbs up for this book.

Summary: Excellent book by Mick! Bravo Mick Fleetwood!
Review: Mick Fleetwood has done an excellent job of recounting the wild lives of the members of Fleetwood Mac. This is a MUST READ for FM fans. You may want to skim over the first couple of chapters that relate to Mick's childhood, but once he gets to talking about the rock and roll scene, you won't be able to stop reading. Especially when Stevie and Lindsey join the band! You will not want this book to end. I read this book in one evening! I could not put it down until I was finished. READ THIS!

Summary: A huge dissapointment.
Review: Mick Fleetwood, the famous drummer for Fleetwood Mac, one of the most popular bands of all time, has written this book on his years with the band. However, as Fleetwood says, he spent over 8 million dollars on cocaine during the time, and it's obvious: Fleetwood seems extremely sullen, depressed, gloomy, and boring in his retelling of what was probably one of the most fascinating bands in the history of rock and roll. It's obvious that he never wrote down any sort of diary during his 20 years with the band, and that his mind is so shot that he can't remember most of what happened, either. Why was this book written? Where did this book go so wrong? Probably by having a drummer who has no sense of humor and whose mind is fried from drug-use try to be the teller of the story of Fleetwood Mac. An awful book that I expected would be fascinating and entertaining. I mean, how could a book written by someone who was in Fleetwood Mac be bad? Well, this one was. I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone.

Summary: Great rock icon lineage through bands like Fleetwood Mac
Review: This book is great reading, mostly if you were apart of the rock revolution of the 60's and 70's. It is interesting to see the heritage of some of my favorite rock icons that came through the John Mayall bands into those like Fleetwood Mac. Mick is very introspective to a fault in this book, however he does humanize a lot of what was going on during those crazy years.
