Summary: I love this book!
Review: I can imagine the laughter and tears that went into writing this book. It's a little like peaking in someone's window as you ride by on a train...you see the family and wonder who they really are and what their lives are like. This book explores just that...and gives us a glimpse of growing up in small town middle America, when times were simpler, but pleasure and pain were the same as today. These three sisters have portrayed their family and their memories in such a wonderful way that you will surely recognized something from your own childhood...a relative, a parent, a sibling or even a place. It was a joy to read and share their recollections. I don't often re-read books, but this is one that I will turn to for a smile (or a tear) again and again.

Summary: Unique and Quirky Story Bound to Touch all Families
Review: The writers of this book have taken the letters of the alphabet, chosen words which resinate ie, Abet, Anger, Ability, Sisters, Thunderstorms, Thanksgiving, and woven a real story with a begining, middle and end. It is in turn funny, sad, angry, restoring. It is universal as it applies in some way to every group that has called itself a family. The three sisters reveal family history through nostalgic tales such as Dad and Work, Quilting, Aunts, Vallejo. As the assigned letters wind through the narrative we hear some mystery about family members, how some rifts were healed and in the end we realize this a love story about a very disfunctional and fractured family that truly love one another. This is a book for giving and keeping. You will find yourslef in its pages.
