Summary: Too much gore........
Review: I read this book and found it to be long in what this mother DID to her children, but short on the part that I find interesting about true crime novels - the how and the why. I also would have liked more information on how this woman was finally brought to justice. That part of the story was woefully neglected. To me it was basically a horror story about an extremely sadistic and cruel mother who literally got away with murder for a long, long time.

I saw Terry and, I think, the author and the arresting officer on a talk show about a year ago and found that show to be much more interesting and informative than the book.

Summary: Chilling....
Review: I read this book years and years ago. It's still one of my favorite true crime books. I can't believe the horror the kids had to go through just to live in Teressa's twisted world and the scars it left on her children into adulthood. Upon reading it, I had nightmares for a while. This is the only book that has had that much of an impact on me, I still find it amazing. The author, I think, does a fantastic job with detailing scenery, dialogue, etc. It's a wonderful book. Too bad it's true...

Summary: Very sad story
Review: This crime should have never happened(not that any should) I was so angry while reading this that no one helped these children and that Theresa got away with everything for so long. Will her remaining children ever be ok? My only complaints of the book are there should have been pictures, I wanted to know what everyone looked like.

Summary: A murderous mother
Review: This is one of the very few true crime books that I've read, and I must say that it was very chilling and disturbing; it is so sad those two girls had to die such gruesome deaths because of that twisted woman. I found Dennis McDougal's writing to be superb.

Summary: Mother's Day
Review: What a story! Dennis McDougal is a winner in my book.. You will easily become engrossed in this family and the sinister relationship the children have with their mother. My heart really went out to these children. It is a quick read and one you will not likely forget. I know I never will.
