Review: Mel Trotter was truly a man with a mission. The author has accurately portrayed a man who made a difference in the world. Because of his alcoholism, Mel Trotter's marriage was almost destroyed and he could find no way out. He tried to end his life, but God stepped in and touched this man with His power and presence. Mel Trotter committed his life to Jesus Christ and became a new person. Establishing a Rescue Mission, first in Grand Rapids, MI, Trotter's ministry extended throughout the United States and continues long after he is gone. As a small child, I had the honor of sitting in his office many times as he and my father enjoyed a warm friendship. Even then, I knew I was in the presence of a great man. This book is well-written, is thought provoking and an inspiration. If God can change a man like Mel Trotter, he can change anyone who surrenders to Him.
