Review: Although sensitively written by one of her colleagues, this book was utter torture to read; the Prouty's have been plagued with horrendous misfortune, no words can adequately describe my regrets for Normy, Johnny, Patty, and Jimmie.
P.S. To the reviewer from Paris: As an editor at the Reader's Digest for many years, Mrs. Prouty would have been flattered by your description of her as "one of the most influential women in publishing".

Review: Lestor Velie's book was wriiten following the tragic death of Elenor Prouty on 25th May 1980. I was glad to finally locate and read a book concerning the loss of one of the more influential woman in American publishing.
