Review: A GRIPPING EXPOSE WHICH I COULD NOT PUT DOWN. I READ IT IN ONE NIGHT. A TRULY REMARKABLE YOUNG LADY DISPLAYING 'GUTS' AND COURAGE BEYOND THE NORM TO TELL IT HOW IT WAS, WARTS AND ALL.
I FELT SCARED READING THE BOOK TRYING TO IMAGINE THE CONDITIONS UNDER WHICH SHE RESIDED AND EXISTED AS SHE FOUGHT THE WEIGHT GAIN SHE IMAGINED SHE WAS GOING THROUGH.
THIS SHOULD BE READ BY ALL YOUNG WOMEN AND THE PARENTS OF YOUNG WOMEN TO HELP GIVE AN UNDERSTANDING OF THE TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS OF ONE CAUGHT UP IN A SITUATION AS ELIZABETH WAS SO CAUGHT UP IN.
HER NIGHTMARES, ALONG WITH THE GENEROUS LOVE AND UNDERSTANDING EXHIBITED BY HER MOTHER, COMBINE TO MAKE THIS A MOST ENTHRALLING READ.

Summary: Such an inspiration!
Review: An absolutely beautiful true story about a girl who overcomes a harrowing eating disorder which almost claims her life. With the support of her mother Maree, Eli learns to rediscover her true self and her purpose in life, which proves to be an inspiration not only to young girls, but to all who hear her story. Eli's Wings is remarkably well written, making you feel like you are a part of her entire journey, which in the end becomes a truly rewarding experience!

Review: Being your fairly typical Australian male from Perth Western Australia keen on Clive Cussler novels , it was doubtful that I would ever read a book about a teenage girl from Melbourne with anorexia! However I had the good fortune to meet Eli on a flight between Melbourne and Perth and was inspired to do so by her dogged determination , her down to earth views on life, her quest to help others with life changing health and social issues. I was not disappointed ! Eli's book is written in an easily read conversational style and gets the message across clearly and at times shockingly that people of all ages will appreciate.

Review: I found this book to be an amazing story of the hardships that one women went through in her young life, and then find the strength to overcome them. To be able to go through such an ordeal in ones life and then have the courage to write about shows that she's truly an amazing person. I'd recomend this book to anyone that may be experiencing the same kind of issues and use it as a tool to help themselves.

Summary: Why have I not heard more?
Review: Why have I not heard about this book until now... and why can't I buy it here in UK bookstores? This book was a complete inspiration. It gave me an insight into an issue I had only ever heard about til now. I found 'Eli's Wings' lying around my house while entertaining a friend from Australia and began to read... 7 hours later, I had not put it down. In that time I had been educated, horrified, saddened but most importantly - inspired!! This book became an amazing gift that makes you want to get out there and live! Thanks.
