Rating: Summary: Fascinating at any age. Review: Writing a book for young adults is tricky. As a former bookstore owner, I can tell you that I found that group of readers the most difficult to please. Carlene Phillips and Nancy Lotz got it just right. Their book on Marie Antoinette flows like a novel, with descriptions of the young queen and her life in the lead-up to The French Revolution that would fascinate readers of any age. They managed to walk that fine line of writing a totally age-appropriate book that never condescends to its young audience. It is so beautifully written that it engaged and delighted me from start to finish, though I must admit that I loved the little queen so much I was hoping for a different ending.
