Summary: Wish I had the guts!
Review: After one of Cora's sons are brought home by the police one day in Boise, Cora made up her mind to raise her kids without the pressures of today's society. For a single mom with two young sons, it must have taken great courage to pick up and move to Alaska and never look back. Her sons are now young men on their own and with their mothers help now have a love for nature, each other and most importantly a love for themselves. The book was very easy reading and was quite enjoyable. Sometimes I felt I was right there on the island with her. Looking forward to her follow-up book.

Summary: GREAT BOOK!!!
Review: I couldn't put it down. Exciting true story about a mother of two young boys who answers and ad in a newspaper for a job in a remote Alaska ranch. Great story, and all the more exciting because you know it's true. People of all ages will enjoy reading this book. It makes you want to pack up and move to Alaska....

Summary: I thought it was very interesting and exciting.
Review: It was interesting to see how Cora and her boys could ajust to the new life they had chosen. The area of the island was also very interesting because of the vastness and solitude. Unalaska seems so different from any other place I have read about. The life there seems so strange since there is no one living very close by. It is a very good book. I have passed it on for someone else to read.
