Summary: The power of Redemption
Review: For this author to write this book, it had to be ordained by God. Ms Harris was able to tell her secrets to help us realize that our God is a forgiving God. Even when we don't feel we deserve it, He keeps on blessing us over and over again. I had some doubts when I was asked to read this book. I really thought it would be another of one of these self righteous books about what you better do, how to do it and what is going to happen if you don't. Ms Harris told a story that I could find a lesson for myself and a lesson to witness to others. This is a book that I have been and will continue to recommend to those who feel the need to overcome shame, guilt and doubt.

Summary: Good
Review: I bought this book recently, and I found it to be quite inspiring. Now, in relationships, it is real hard to let go of someone that you know is not in your best interests. But in this story, this lady did. She was also open and candid about the relationship, and offers tips and encouragement for others as well.Recommended for those in dead end relationships. Another thing: I really couldn't believe that minister. Some of these folks don't have no business being no minister or nothing. I just hope that he got help for whatever ailed him.

Summary: APPROPRIATE
Review: I felt that Patricia's story is the combination to the locked hearts of many. It was real and so is God's love for us. Only the LOVE of God can captivate and restore what once has been torn and ripped. I thank God for this story because it gives me the courage to be free.

Bless the giver and the receiver.

Summary: God can work through a book's message
Review: I was in the middle of a problem so much like the author when I found this book at the bookstore. I couldn't put it down. It ministered to me and helped to heal the hurt I was facing (and still am). To make it even better, the author really believes what she wrote. . . . I can't wait for her next book. If you want to heal the hurt inside, buy this book!!!

Summary: An eye opening experience
Review: In reading this book I felt the author exhibited both character and determination. Her openingness and sincerity is very captivating. Patrica Harris's experiences in this book helps to convey that life's experiences are just that, "life experiences", and through friends, family, and much prayer, we can defeat the enemy.

Summary: A courageous act of love
Review: Patricia Harris is a writer of unusual and spiritual vision. She has the natural ability to put every deed in context with the love of God. Personally, I was moved by the way she made me realize that I too was forgiven. Now, I can move on with my life and experience the joy of God's many blessings. This was a courageous act of love for mankind. Patricia approached a topic that is taboo; because of her courage, we all can identify with either one of the characters, yet walk away feeling good about ourselves and who we are as God's children. Imprisoned by Secrets of the Heart will also benefit men as well as women. If you have any doubt about God's love and forgiveness you must read this book. Many thanks to Patricia Harris for her insight and unselfish act of love.

Summary: How to avoid succumbing to spiritually toxic temptation
Review: When Patricia Harris and her husband sought pastoral counseling for the marital problems, the minister suggested the use of pornography to "enhance your marriage". Patricia eventually left her physically abusive relationship and sought help from her minister and his wife, only to have her own pastor begin to make sexual advances. In her vulnerable state, she gave in and started a shameful and destructive relationship that lasted almost a year. From her painful experiences with corrupt clergy, she emerged to take personal responsibly for her actions, part of which is to write Imprisoned By Secrets Of The Heart for the benefit of other women in similar circumstances. Patricia describes five ways Satan gains access into our lives, how these inroads can bring even further harm; and that we must learn our areas of greatest weakness if we expect to overcome temptation. Imprisoned By Secrets Of The Heart is very highly recommended, sobering reading about how abuse and rejection open the door to infidelity, about what makes a woman vulnerable to an affair, and how to avoid succumbing to such spiritually toxic temptations.
