Rating: Summary: Boring Review: I had hoped to read a book about a woman who came from nothing and really made it all on her own. But that is not the case. Not sure why she would write such a book about nothing. She was born into a rich family, You would have to be in rich in those days and now to go to boarding schools, especially in switzerland and England. That is where she went to schools in her childhood and when she came to the u.s. and decided to make and design clothes, all she did was call a friend who makes clothing in another country and worked out a deal with him of what to make in her name. Dianne never worked in her life. Everything was done with just a phone call. she always had connections from her family and friends she made while she was in europe in boarding schools. The only work she was doing that she claimed was stress, was waking up at 6 am and having to go promote her new clothes or parfum at stores and t.v. shows.I had really thought I was going to read about a woman who had it tough but made it on her own. but this was about someone who was born with a golden spoon in her mouth who never had to work much at all.
Rating: Summary: Review: Not worth buying. There was not any type of story here. I was expecting a Woman who started from nothing and became who she is today. But that was not the case. She just married in to a Rich family, got a great new last name and Just a few calls and everything including her fashion business was done for her. Do not waste your time with this book.Boring!! It bored me in to unconsciousness
Rating: Summary: shoot me now Review: This has to be one of the most insipid tales yet told. It's promoted as "she didn't have to work - but she did". She did? When? Where? Look - don't promote an idea and then tell the story that completely contrasts it. This person has yet to understand what "work" is. This book is a story of a rich person who uses connections to get richer. Wow! - what a story! Now if it was about a person who worked from nothing - and built a brand like the rest of us schleps would have to, then I'd say she did something - "she worked"! But not the case here, even though she portrays it that way. Unconvincing and boring.
