Summary: Way more than a regular mafia book!
Review: This is an outstanding view of mafia life told by the son of mafia legend Roy DeMeo. In this touching story of a father and son, Al DeMeo tells the story of the struggles of growing up and living with a mobster father. Even afer his father passes Al still struggles with the past and the pesky federal govt. This is by far one of the best books of mafia life I have ever read, and I have read quite a few. I loved this book and would recomend it to everyone. This is way more than your average mafia book, it is a touching story of a father and son.

Summary: Excellent read. Read in 12 hours time
Review: Very engrossing book. I think Albert did a splendid job on this. I read a lot of Mafia related books and tend to think some stories sound a little far fetched but I find myself to believe everything Albert writes is probably really accurate as opposed to some books. I found myself tearing up a few times while reading this because his emotions really come through in the pages of this book. Just the idea of this poor kid staying awake night after night to see if his father was coming home really hit me. I felt for Albert reading this. I also found it heart-wrenching how people outside "the life" constantly judged him for being Roys kid. I recommend this book if you want to see how the families of "The Family" had lived. I loved the whole story at the beginning with the rabid squirrel. It would make a great scene in a comedy movie. Anyway, I am glad Albert seems to have found peace and hope he has a very enriching future.

Summary: Riveting story of a gang of serial murderers
Review: written (with help) by the son of Roy DeMeo - boss of "The Murder Machine" The story is from the perspective of Roy DeMeo's son who was an innocent five-year old child when his Dad, Roy , brought him along on his Sunday visits to the Ravenite Social club in the village. Unaware of his father's murderous business, Albert DeMeo learns the truth when he is working for the NYSE, and the book, The Murder Machine hits the best seller list. READ this book first, then read The Murder Machine.
