Review: "Any reader who has shared any of the experiences will find this story overwhelmingly poignant. There must be growing numbers of children dealing with the issue of incapacitated old parents who deserve dignified deaths. She has a very enlightening way of telling, "How it is!"

Review: "I really loved this book. It was colorful and alive to me. It gives so many insights as to New England lifestyle and thinking. I couldn't put it down. This is rare for me as I rarely have the time or patience to read anything longer than poetry."

Summary: My Parents and Alzheimer's: A Daughter's Story
Review: I loved this book....I just did not want to put it down. It is a very difficult subject turned into a love story between a husband andwife and a daughter and her parents. It is a very well written book in which the author speaks honestly from the heart. At times you are laughing, at other times you are crying, and feeling such compassion. A must read for every daughter and son with aging parents. I give this book an A+!

Remarkably passionate and perceptive, the author's personal recollections of her devoted parents final years and her own care-giving sacrifices present a powerful legacy for her own children and grandchildren. Few gifts compare with gifts of the heart. Janet Stone's book reveals that and much, much more.
