Review: Fear of the collar, although quite well written, only scratched the surface of the issues at hand in regard to the attrocity of Artane boys school. The book deals with one mans perception of what was undoubtedly a tragic part of Irish life. For readers of the book that endured this systematic beating of "men of the cloth" in Artane, this will not give an accurate description. The reason for this is that each person in the school went through different ordeals and humiliations. The book, in the reviewers opinion, should take a more generic stance and give the readers a more diverse range of opinions of people that were also present. That said, the book is worth a read but does not reach its potential.
