Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A wonderful moving story
Review: I had the pleasure of visiting Lancaster Co. this summer and then the pleasure of reading not only The Confession but The Shunning and was really suprised to find that alot of what I saw of Lancaster Co. was true and as I read each book I could imagine being right there with the characters. I can't wait to read The Reckoning.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Heart-warming
Review: I truly enjoyed this book and the first book in the Heritage of Lancaster County series. Lewis makes the community come alive for the reader. I felt as if I were a member of the community attending church meetings and baking bread. I can't wait to read The Reckoning.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: A dramatic sequel
Review: This is the sequel to "The Shunning" and it picks up slightly before the other one finishes, but from a different view point.

This is Katie's/Katherine's story of how she finds her birth mother and the obstacles she faces. I thought that there could be a little bit more conflict and maybe a little less preaching in this book.

I liked this book, but I don't think it had the emotional impact of the first one. But it was a fast read and an enjoyable one.

I would recommend this book.
