Summary: Right on the Money
Review: I was given this book as a gift and I have to say it was truly uplifting. Well written, insightful and to the point. I have passed it on to several people. I would argue this is one of the most important Canadian books of the year.

Summary: Stuck in the bubble
Review: Maybe my expectations were too high for this book based on the interesting title and the long list of contributors. I found most of the information in this book to be news items. Anyone that follows technology in the news will not find much insight into this book. Also this book dragged on for me. I was reading it for fun, and it was a little slow.

If you are not very familiar with the internet and don't watch the news this book would be worthwhile. However, anyone who uses the internet and keeps up on the news won't get much out of it. All in all I'd say it's a sorry attempt by Brody to be the one to coin the term that defines what great innovations Canadians really are involved with.

Finally I think Brody is stuck in some fantasy of the Internet bubble. CEO of Ipreo - who is Ipreo anyways?

Summary: Americans, Take Note
Review: This book opened my eyes as to how much Canada has dominated the technology industry. It is well written and the profiles of the entrepreneurs provide solid business advice. The book fulfills two needs: 1. It brags about Canada's achievements (we need more of that) and, 2. Lays out the case for building solid companies. Buy this book, you will be very glad you did.

Summary: Read a book - Grow as a person
Review: Watch out Michael Moore! This book lifts the veil on Canada's commitment and involvement in technology. Who knew?

I found the book well written and packed with a lot of very useful information... things that I was surprised to find out and as a Canadian, I should know. I was also impressed with the coherant contributions of so many authors.

In a nutshell, this is an important read for Canadians, Americans and anyone interested in business and technology.
