Summary: essential reading for admirers of Horowitz
Review: This is perhaps the most in-depth and detailed biography of Horowitz. From this book you can learn much about Horowitz's psychological and emotional worlds (and even his homosexuality), as well as details of his career. The only drawback is that this book is completed before Horowitz's death, so there are a few years of his life that this book doesn't cover. If you plan to get only one biography of Horowitz, I'll recommend the one by Harold C. Schonberg.
