Summary: Better than any James Bond Story
Review: I read the book and I thought it was great. It is fantastic to read a book that shows a new world to you. It begins with the author as a Soviet army "tanker" through his initiation into Soviet Military Intelligence and then the collapse of his world when an operation gone bad threatens his life. The book creates a sigh of relief that the communist regime is gone. Thanks for the book Victor and good luck to you.

Summary: A Career guide for Military Intelligence Officers!
Review: Reading this book is a frightening experience. It is hard for me to imagine how anyone could do what the writer has done and survive. I know that copies of this book may be hard to come by, but I strongly recommend it.
Soviet Military Intelligence stole hundreds of Billions of dollars of industrial/military technology from the west for decades. The GRU is the only reason that the Soviet Union was able to remain competitive with the West before it finally collapsed. For those of you who confuse the KGB with the GRU, this book clearly defines what the little known GRU actually accomplished.

Summary: A great book!
Review: There is only one way out, comrade. This is one of my top ten books, ever. Once you pick it up, you can't put it down. It's a harsh world filled only with wolves and prey. Join the pack. Suvorov draws you into his world so deep you actually feel you are part of the Aquarium. Feel free, chat a while, peel a few frogs then run down to the clay factory and play with the puppets.

Summary: Shows true nature of Soviet system - fun to read
Review: This book is one of series of really great books of Viktor Suvorov. Here he describes his life (with some necessary changes, required by his current situation) as a Soviet military officer, spy, terrorist. This book is a must to anybody interested in main events of 20th century. It is nicely written, I would definately recommend it before reading Ice-Breaker (Who started World War II).

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A warning for those interested in Soviet Intelligence.
Review: This is not meant as a review, but as a warning for those interested in Soviet Military Intelligence. This book, and Survorov's other book, "Aquarium: The Career and Defection of a Soviet Military Spy" are the same books. So make sure to only purchase one.
