Review: This book was written by my husband's great-great-great aunt. When I first received a copy and sat down to read it,I did so mainly for the 'family history'. However, I quickly became enchanted with Elizabeth Avery Merriweather and her fascinating tales of life as a woman during the Civil War. I highly recommend this book if you're looking for a unique gift for a history lover, Civil War buff, or for anyone who can appreciate a story about a determined woman overcoming obstacles in difficult & troubled times.
