Rating: Summary: Excellent collection of stories Review: I found some of the stories in this collection particularly poignant for my life. Sevarl of the stories "hit home" instantly, and others have become steadily more important to my life as my daughters are getting older. My oldest just turned 3, and the author's stories of his childrens' antics seem to parrallel events in our lives. This is a book I will, no doubt, return to periodically; reliving events in my life and the lives of my children. The author has a wry sense of humor and the book is permeated with his personality and wit. I certainly wouldn't recommend this book to someone looking for "dumb humor"; but if you are looking for an educated, humorous, and at times touching collection of stories about everday life occurances...buy this book.

Rating: Summary: Like Father, Like Son? Review: Like Father Like Son, is a whitty and inspiring book that makes you want to laugh and cry even in the same paragraph. Well written book and has great potential to suceed like his father has in writing. Some times following in your father's footsteps isn't half bad!!!!!!!!

Rating: Summary: Like Father, Like Son? Review: Perhaps my expectations were too high, being a long-time fan of the senior Mr. Fulghum, but I found this book to be a bit lacking in every way. It was a fairly enjoyable read, full of short tales that try to touch the heart. To me the author seems to be trying too hard to match his fathers' writing style, making the book come across as a Fulghum wannabe rather than the work of an independant author. There is a slight flavor of Dave Barry-ish wit, which seems to have been covered up in favor of attempting the nostalgic. I'd like to see this author write a book without trying to imitate his father--my guess is that it would be a fine read!
