Rating: Summary: ...and fleecing her fans. Review: This book offers indispensable source material for anybody interested in the love-life of Cecil Beaton, but his diaries are not entirely trustworthy since he was tinkering with his own legend. To give you an idea: Mauritz Stiller is dismissed as unimportant, John Gilbert, the man who really love Garbo is only mentioned marginally and always in an insulting way, Mercedes de Acosta and George Schlee would hardly feel flattered either, and Garbo herself emerges from this book as a , er, bore..."Loving Garbo" is just a morcel thrown at those fans who want to read every line ever written about their idol. For the main menu turn to BARRY PARIS: GARBO.
