Summary: Memory and Rant
Review: The book was part memory from the past and part complaint. The political comentary about the Church in general was written from the post vatican II liberalist perspective. One has to remember or at least know what kind of experimentation was happening in convents and abbeys in the 60s and 70s to understand the author's perspective. I had the feeling that if the author's health had not deteriorated she would have left the convent. I didn't find the changes or the attitude toward the changes inspiring or faith based.

Summary: An intimate look at the life of a Sister
Review: This is an excellent book for anyone interested in the life of a Nun. Sr. Joan recounts her life, examining critical decision points, and sharing with the reader the warmth and inner peace that she has been able to obtain throught her religious vocation. It was refreshing to learn that underneath her habit beats the heart of a real person with all the typical feelings and emotions felt by us all
