Summary: Forget the PC Trolls, it's a great book
Review: Some of the reviews here are exactly why Kelby wrote the book. There are PC people out there who make it their mission to keep people from considering the Macintosh. And this book's funny to boot. Of course, if you've read Kelby's work the tone of the book makes sense. It's all in good fun, and that's why I bought it. It's not serious, though some seem to want to make it so.

Buy it!

Summary: Great Fun, but take it for what it is.
Review: The Naked Truth was written for users of the Macintosh platform. Period. Within this community and Scott's many avid readers, there is a great thirst for this kind of high-visibility commiseration. This highly-creative and beleagured pool of underdogs need their day in the sun. That's the essence of Macintosh: The Naked Truth. It is a celebration of what's exceptional about the Macintosh, yet misunderstood by the PC community.

This book probably has no value to those who are inexperienced in the ways of macintosh. They just won't be able to relate. They will criticize the facts and the figures and do whatever necessary to shore-up the foundations of the myths that Mr. Kelby seeks to dispel. The tone of the book, however, is written with a level of zeal akin to religious belief. This would certainly be risky if Mr. Kelby were seeking converts from the Windows community. But he isn't. This book was written for Macintosh users.

Summary: Mac Addicts Unite!
Review: There are many things in this world a lot easier than being a Mac Addict in a PC World. Even since the advent of the iMac, iPod, the G5, and the iPod mini, Mac Addicts still catch grief from PC users--at least I do. I know that I can't possibly be the only Mac Addict who has been told that my computer is only for graphic artists and the like or that our market share doesn't justify our existence. Well, this book serves as ample ammunition should you ever be caught in the ongoing Mac Addict/PC user war.

I would love for every PC user who ever uttered an ignorant comment about Apple products to read this book, but that would be asking a miracle. Sadly, I believe that we Mac Addicts will be the only ones to ever venture upon the factual data so entertainingly illustrated in this book.

While I joke about the PC users, as does this book, in all seriousness, there is a great deal of misinformation concerning Apple's products, and this book goes a long way to doing away with those myths.

Summary: A Macintosh Bible
Review: This book is a MUST-READ for any Mac enthusiast or fanatic. You'll find yourself cracking up at Scott's views mostly because you feel or have felt the exact same way. Keep this book around for an occasional pick-me-up or escape from the dreaded PC-dominated world...at least, for now. :)

Summary: Mac Humor for Mac Users
Review: This book is for Mac users and/or PC sufferers.

If you're using a PC because you want to, you're already a lost cause, so this book isn't going to help. You're the same losers that gave the world VHS, MacDonalds, Disney World and Brittney Spears, and always root for a sports team after they just won the championship. Macs are for folks who root for the underdog, love eccentricity, and thrive on creativity, so beat it. You're already boring me.

If you're using a PC because you have to, you will probably get some laughs from the book. You can stay. Just wash thoroughly after touching that PC. Viruses and all. Tell your boss to get you a Mac. Of course the sys admin will be out of a job with nothing to fix, but so what?

If you love Mac, this book is for you. It's geared for the diehard Mac user, who knows he or she is using the best computer and best OS out there, especially with OS X. I was laughing out loud at times, so it's definitely funny. It gets a little tired once you get to the replies to letters to the editor. But overall, it was entertaining.

Review: This book is great! I love this book! I couldn't stop reading until end of the book.
This is great for Mac users who are living in "PC city" that it seems that no one else uses Mac but you. This book tells you what it is like to be Mac user in a Windows world and how to deal with PC-Weeines.

Recommand to buy this book!!!!

Summary: Scott Kelby is no Dave Barry
Review: This book is very low on content...it is *supposed* to be humorous.

Unfortunately, the book isn't funny. The best part is chapter 6, CompUSA:Your Own Private Hell. It is the only amusing part of the book. The rest of it is really stupid.

Don't waste your money on this book.
