Rating: Summary: handy summary Review: ....Besides the SEI Tech Reports there are lots of ponderous books that are difficult to wade through if you are not familiar with cmmi. And if you are familiar with cmmi then you dont want to read all that verbiage again. This summary will be a good overview before reading the detailed books, and will be a good summary after reading them. This booklet tells you the useful stuff you need, but not a lot of worthless history and pompous bloviation about where cmmi may go in the future. This is for the here and now, and is real -- for people who have to use cmmi not pontificate about it. Get the continuous version. No rational company would use the staged model even though it is the favorite of many SEI folks who have no idea about how the real world works.
Rating: Summary: Table of contents with no content Review: If your looking for a quick reference on CMMI don't look here. This overprice booklet has little real value.
Rating: Summary: An Essential Reference Review: Mini CMMI(SM) by Ralph Williams - Cooliemon LLC Thanks Ralph for helping to make the incomprehensible available to the rest of us. This thirty something page guide is a summary of almost 750 pages. It clearly shows the process areas relevant to each maturity level and discipline (or bodies of knowledge), and the generic goals, which are the significant factors that were not explicit in the old CMM's. These are the rocks that provide the stepping-stones to increasing maturity levels applied to all process areas. As a practicing process engineer this book is in daily use with me. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Rating: Summary: Not worth the money! Review: The price you need to pay for this ready reckoner is too high!
You are better of looking the abbreviations up in the SEI spec or in one of the other detailed books.
Rating: Summary: An Essential Reference Review: This is a wonderful tool. It is something that I actually tried to create myself by listing out this information, but was awkward and inconvenient. This booklet contains the CMMI V1.1 Process Areas Specific and Generic Goals and Practices, in an easy booklet format - excellant for reference and quick look-up, and easy to carry around with you (I keep mine tucked in my planner). The front of the booklet also shows the CMMI Staged Representation Model Structure. This booklet is easy to use, easy to access, with clear, concise listing of the CMMI Staged Representation. I recommend it to anyone involved with CMMI as an indispensible tool!
