Rating: Summary: Where were you 10 years ago? Review: or even 15 or 20? I cannot recommend this book highly enough. I grew up in a family where money was not even discussed (much like Robert's poor dad) and eventually got myself into a hole that has taken me a few years to nearly climb out of. I even started my own Amway business a couple of months ago, but I now have a better idea of how I should be(and should have been) spending my money. I know what I'm giving for Christmas gifts this year.
Rating: Summary: Hey YOU, Yeah YOU!, you have to read this book!!!! Review: This book is phenomonal! Anyone no matter what income level, gender, or age can benefit from the material in this book. I'm not even finished with it yet and I can't wait to share it with friends and family. I actually pulled out a highlighter pen (something I never do) and am marking it up for a second read. I thought I was smart about money until I read this. Mr. Kiyosaki is dead on with his analysis of the two diometrically opposed schools of thought on wealth creation. The points he makes, however, go beyond just money and speak to the attitudes and prejudices that permeate large segments of our population. I am an avid reader (both fiction and nonfiction) and it has been a long time since I came across something that opened my mind the way Mr. Kiyosaki's book has and for that I thank him.
Rating: Summary: The book that has got me started building my assetS. Review: This is one of the few investment/motivation books that has actually held my attention from cover to cover. Personal experience is a great way to learn. With Robert sharing his with us it opens up a "human" side to the topic that is rarely seen in these types of books. BENKYOU NI NARIMASHITA NODE, DOMO ARIGATO GOZAIMASHITA.
Rating: Summary: Best financial book I have ever read! Review: If you've ever read a financial book like "The Millionare Next Door", or, "The Richest Man in Babylon", and felt there was still something missing, this book will tie it all together for you. If you've got high-income friends who are still poor, recommend this to them.
Rating: Summary: Back to Basics Book on How the Rich Became Rich Review: I like to thank Mr Robert Kiyosaki for a GREAT book!!! His basics on how the rich operates is easy to understand and it does not keep dwelling on how positive thinking/motivation tapes/get rich books can make anyone get rich! Immediately bought his other book "If you want to be rich and happy, don't go to school?" which is a perfect 10 too. Have just been to the Money & You course that he recommended (and also took many years back) and my knowledge of how money works has increased 100-fold! Have bought more copies of Rich Dad, Poor Dad and am passing the wisdom around to my friends. My next purchase will be the game he created called "CASHFLOW" which is supposed to teach you about how money works. The one phrase in the book that should get anyone out there to want to read his book is "Don't work for money, let money work for you". Fan for Life P/S I don't work for Kiyosaki (but oh how I wish!) or any bookstore promoting his work.
Rating: Summary: I've been doing it wrong for too long ... Review: This book shows me in diagrams, examples, and stories how I have created my financial situations. I have done what my parents have told me, go to school, get a degree, get a job and then retire. Boy, have they been off. After reading this book I only want to do what everybody else isn't! Learn for knowledge, be not afraid of money, and go out and create a successful side business. From now on my mentors are going to be only the people who have been successful in whatever I am undertaking. I choose not to listen to another cynic! This book is great! I plan to read it again and again to make sure I have not missed anything from a mentor.
Rating: Summary: A must read for getting ahead in todays market. Review: Very well written, with great examples. Once you start you dont want to put the book down. It gives you a new way to look at things. Very thought provoking. This should be taught in our school system, along with the basics.
Rating: Summary: Logical and not your usual ra ra rubbish Review: I read this book in one day. The points it makes, make logical sense without all the usual bull you have to get through in other self-help books. I wish the author was teaching in Australia - I would be sure to go to his classes. The book gives a clear picture of how we all make the same mistakes financially which prevent us form making money. I will certainly be reading the book again and starting to invest in the same way.
Rating: Summary: It's interesting at least and life changing at best Review: I like this book because it is not a how to get rich quick scheme book. It dwells correctly on misperceptions about money, assets and liabilities. Maybe a bit repetitive at times though. But good clear explanation throughout and easy to read. Overall a valuable "liability" to purchase ? ;-)
Rating: Summary: Forget what school taught you, this is how it really is! Review: If you were ever interested in why the rich get richer and the poor and middle class struggle; see chapter 3, lesson 2. It is two years of college accounting in a few pages of easy to understand language and diagrams. It challenges the reader to consider what is actually an asset and a liability. This is what separates the classes.
