Review: Definitely a 400 level college business course on how to succeed on E-bay! Although the author's extensive use of his personal business service made the book come across as his version of "buy the book and receive my free advertising". This is a very logical and comprehensive tool for serious E-bay users that carefully explains the online business cycle. However, it leaves the reader wondering what to do with psychological strategies involving negative feedback and customer statisfaction issues...
Great research, statistics and graphs regarding E-bay trends, history and the future of E-bay marketing. Just be sure to start with the back of the book and review the glossary and terms. You will be better prepared for the excessive use of acronyms while you read the book( I always wanted to learn a 3rd language).

This is definitely one of the most analytical E-Bay books I have ever encountered. A must read for every serious E-bay marketing entrepreneur.

Summary: Finally, an eBay book that wasn't for beginners only!
Review: I have a moderately sized eBay-based business and I found that Wingo gave some pretty good tips. If he writes another one in the future, I would hope that that he cuts down on the acronyms a little. I like acronyms when they are used sparingly, but it is my opinion that Wingo may have overdone it. Though it makes all his arguments look very well-thought out and scientific as was the intention, I imagine.

Nevertheless, the best part of the book were the general tips and also the 2-3 page examples from different eBay selling companies. It is always nice to know how other people solve their challenges and try to apply those ideas to one's own business.

Review: It is great to read a big-picture viewpoint on large eBay businesses. The book provided insight into some of the things we are doing right...and some of the things we were doing wrong. Review: This book is not easy reading; it is like taking a crash course in management accounting, economics and marketing. The author also freely scatters acronyms throughout the text (they are very well explained on first use though). The book is well worth the effort, and has excellent chapter summaries to convey key points.

My ebay (and other auction site) selling ambitions are limited; I am looking to generate a secondary income (books target audience is the full time business, not casual seller). This book has made me rethink some previous auctions, in particular exclusive use of $1NR.

The assessment of listing upgrades has made me rethink what I will do in future auctions. The promotions strategy is great, the material on keyword searching is excellent.

The chapter on branding and the use of the me page is excellent: I incorporated some of the suggestions into linking my me page to web pages, despite a very impersonal web address, http://mysite.verizon.net/vze48sdz/ - the flow of traffic was surprising. Combined with the industrial strength ebay hacks book advice on affiliate selling this prooving effective!

The real life scenarios are superb; they really do help clarify the strategies outlined in the book.

Excellent book that has easily repayed it's cost.

Review: This book is not for the light hearted. It truly will tell you what you are doing right(and that wont be much) and what you do wrong. I had no idea where I was in my business until I read this book. Truly a slap in the face and a wakeup call. Ths is a must have book if you are serious about your eBay business. Worth 100x's the price and more. If you are looking for a candy coated Amway rah rah on how great your doing on eBay, this is not for you. After reading this book, I see exactly what we have done wrong for the last 2 years, and we see how far we have to go to be a "real business". This is like a full time business consultant on staff for less than the price of a decent lunch. Get it now..! Way to go Scot.

Although the focus is on building a large business generating tens of thousands of dollars in sales per month, there are tips and techniques that will also help the smaller seller, too. It's one thing to hear about nameless strangers making their fortunes on eBay, but it's quite another to be introduced to them by this book to learn their best practices. The real-world examples show that it really is possible to run a profitable full-time business on eBay.

Review: This is the first book I have read for the serious ebay professional. I make my living on eBay, and have for the past 2 years. This book is teaching me how to take my business from the successful, though unorganized entreprise it is today, to a higher, more structured robust entity that can support my family into future generations.
It assumes a basic/advanced knowledge of business and selling on eBay. Not for the novice who has little knowledge of either.
