Review: Excellent!! Practical advice that works! I've gotten five derogatories off of my credit report using the methods given in this book. Well worth the cost.

Summary: Easy to Follow Advice on Credit Repair
Review: I bought this book on advice from How-to-get-credit.com I'd have to agree that the information is a little bit old, but it was good information none the less.

Summary: Pure junk and useless pap
Review: I have an extensive library of books on credit repair. I am argueably Amenrica's #1 expert on the subject bar none. I have the credentials to prove that. I've not seen one book to date that is anything but pure pap and of little or no value whatever. They are entertaining and that's about it. Most of them make no sense at all, especially those which tell you how to "fix" your credit. The first problem that all such authors and credit repair companies alike never seem to address is that in the majority of cases it is not the fault of the credit bureaus when derogatory comments appear on one's credit bureau files. It is the fault of the debtor because he failed to pay his bills on time for whatever reason. If there is an actualy error on the credit bureau files it is usually still not the fault of the credit bureaus but rather the fault of the reporter of that information and it is to that person the debtor should turn for the resolution of his problems. Endless waves of "spam" to the credit bureaus is not the way to resolve the problem. In the event that the listing is correct but the debtor still wishes to have it removed, that is indeed usually possible but not through bombarding credit bureaus with endless waves of letters claiming that the account is not mine or is somehow in error. That's simply not the way to get the job done, yet untold numbers of people are falsely led to believe that it is by credit repair companies and message boards all across the internet. ...It does not teach how to engage in illegal or ignorant methods usually employed by those who foll ow the advice of such pap authors as this one. The proper answer to the problems lies in understanding the law and how to use it to one's benefit when one's rights have been violated or they have been denied due process of law, not in some cute trick or other. It is indeed sad how many people are led to believe that these supposed gurus have any real knowledge of how to deal with creditors and are duped into doing things that are often downright illegal or totally immoral and have little or no basis in the law.

Summary: Beware of bogus reviewers
Review: I have not yet read this book and am giving it the average number of stars to keep from tilting the scales one way or another. I would just like to say that not all reviews are equal. Case in point, I did a Google search of "Bill Bauer" and "credit," and came up with some very strange results. Always read reviews with a grain of salt, espcially those from self-proclaimed "world's best experts bar none" on any particulare subject.

Review: I thought this was a good book on how to improve your credit report. It is a little bit old but the author does take you step by step through ideas that can help you improve your credit report. I would recommend this book to a friend with credit problems.

Summary: SUPERB !!!
Review: It doesn't get any better than this. I was desperate trying to get a book that could help me in the subject. God, am I glad that I got this book. It teached me everything I have to know in order to fix my credit; from getting my credit report, how to read it (and understand it), and how to "repair it". I jumped from a lousy 523 points to 715 points in a period of 6 months. Yes thats right, they are not magicians (not over night fixing), but real fixing of your credit trough very easy and practical steps. You just have to be consistent cause time is important.

This book is for those who want to repair their own credit, not just learn about credit and credit reports. It tells you what to do if The Big 3 agencies do not respond. He explains the process and does not tell you to just dispute but tells you what to do after you dispute.... GREAT INFORMATION. GREAT PRICE......... Only problem, This book is OLD........ It needs an update. However, Almost everything is still valid, execpt TRW is now Experian. I recomend getting this book and another book that is updated. Good Luck
