Rating: Summary: It wasn't exactly what I'd hoped for. Review: I was excited about reading this book. I was expecting to read about real people who learned to trade and explained the difficulties and rewards of their efforts. I had also hoped that there would be plenty of discussion of the methods they used to achieve those results. What I recieved instead was surface questions about their family life and their personal background (even how their childhood was). The answers to these questions were then used to put together a personality profile of sorts that is to be used to model yourself after. The results tend to be common sense things like perseverence, hard work ethic, discipline, etc. There is some discussion of basic trading philosophies (and they are quite varied), but there is not much depth to them. If your interested in high level traders and some really useful discussion, I would highly recommend the Market Wizards books by Jack Schwager. These books have been recommended by many professional traders in their own books and I agree completely. If you are truly interested in trading psychology, the book to have is Trade Your Way to Financial Freedom by Tharp. Check these books out, I'm sure they will have very high ratings.
Rating: Summary: GOOD OVERVIEW OF REAL PEOPLE Review: This book is one of the best books on trading I have ever read. What sets it apart is discussions that show what it really takes to become a trader. It's much more then indicators and buying systems made by others. It's a psychological change and this books explains it very well.
Rating: Summary: Save your money Review: This book is very disapointing. I have bought this book on the hype from the author on CNBC but I've regretted my purchase. Boring questions... a lot of info not related to trading but to personnal life of traders, their environment their family... and on and on. This book can be read in 2 hours and does not reveal any strong insight. Of course the 14 testimonials of the traders have one thing in comon... they all (or most of them) had Adrienne (the author) as their mentor. What a bias for a book. Save your money.

Rating: Summary: GOOD OVERVIEW OF REAL PEOPLE Review: VERY DOWN TO EARTH PROFILE OF SEVERAL TRADERS. THEIR BACKGROUND AND SELF-DISCILPINE ARE VERY INTERESTING. EACH HAS HAD SET BACKS BUT PERSERVERED AND WERE ABLE TO MASTER THE MARKETS FOR A PERIOD OF TIME. ENJOYED THE PHILOSOPHICAL MODELING AND ANALYTICAL PROFILE OF EACH TRADER.
