Rating: Summary: A bit academic, but very good. Review: A little bit boring at first, but very thorough. Especially the strategies on momentum and EPS revisions are very interesting. For this part alone I would buy the book, because this is really practical and straightforward and will make you money in the long term.
Rating: Summary: Do you trust your broker's advice? Review: For the individual investor, I would give this book a single star. I should have seen the warning signs ... "Bloomberg Professional Library" and the author's "views are widely quoted in the financial press." Brokers may find this volume useful in providing market timing and trading strategies that their customers are expecting. The author targets only subjective and qualitative "insights", with very little data and no statistical analysis. If the author's job title of "quantitative strategist" is to be taken seriously, we would expect some supporting evidence (ie returns data) that the strategies produce results. Show us the yachts. If you are looking for a quantatative discussion of analysis and models, look elsewhere. Insights in this book impress me as purest hand-waving, and the text is loaded with equivocation, suggestion and speculation.

Rating: Summary: The most comprehensive book on small caps Review: I think that too many people invest without thinking why, they do it without a strategy or a framework. This book helps you undertsand the small cap market and guides you in your quest for superior long term returns. If you are looking for the "stock of the day" stay in the chatrooms.
Rating: Summary: Highly Recommended! Review: One of the top experts in the field, Satya Dev Pradhuman has written an exhaustive study of small-cap investing. While this textbook-style exploration is hardly the place to look for exciting prose, the author does a grand job of harvesting every minute detail of his subject matter, and includes not only the fundamentals, but plenty of practical advice, helpful charts and graphs. We from getAbstract recommend this book to all investors.
Rating: Summary: small cap dynamics short on specifics Review: the author has a vast knowledge of small cap stocks and their history for the past 50 years. the book was relevent in only a few chapters. he could of given more information on stock selection and a lot less on buying models and investment styles. for the price i was disapointed
