Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Old Lessons Still Apply
Review: Henry Ford's vision extends beyond manufacturing automobiles. He truly wanted to reduce waste to society. "Moving Forward" is Ford's third book discussion his philosophies on business, manufacturing, and society. Many of the current business buzzwords such as lean manufacturing and value stream mapping really stem from Ford's principles. "Moving Forward" discusses these subjects in the clear focused manner of someone who actually made improvements without the added jargon common to the books written by today's armchair consultants. This is a must read for someone looking to make actual improvements in their business. Ford's previous works are also recommended, specifically: "My Life and Work" and "Today and Tomorrow."
