Summary: Not bad, but shouldn't be used for accounting classes
Review: This is not a bad book. It has interesting real-life examples and discussion of important issues. The only real problem was that I had to use this book for Intermediate Accounting, and it wasn't good for that purpose. This book focuses on statement analysis and use, not on preparation. If you are taking a financial analysis class, the book is fine. If you taking an accounting class, it doesn't go into the specifics of how the statements are presented and is completely inadequate. Also, the lack of a solution manual is troublesome.
