Rating: Summary: Great resource for the value investor Review: All 3 books from Standard and Poors (the S&P 500, the mid-cap 400, and the small-cap 600) are fantastic resources. You get the last 10 years of financial data for each company (those that have been around that long), including pre-computed values for things like profit margin, return on equity, debt-to-equity, and other ratios that are essential to making value-based investment decisions. Note that these are reference books, not "how to" books.

Rating: Summary: A good method for using the S&P600 Guide can be found in: Review: chapter 3 of the book Investing in Small-Cap Stocks by Christopher Graja. Microcap companies too small to be included in the S&P 600 Guide can be researched on the Internet.
