It gives a good background on Lean Manufacturing and rationale for using a lean approach on maintenance processes, along with an excellent "how to" guide for implementing.

Review: The book provided an interesting background and history. Once it got into the actual elements of Lean Maintenenance, the text was very comprehensive. It provided a step-by-step process for setting up a lean maintenance program -- a cook-book approach.
Should be very useful for plants thinking about instituting Lean Maintenance.
