Rating: Summary: EXCELLENT INFORMATION Review: After being disappointed by buying books and tapes with key points missing on the Closeout/Surplus business,I was finally glad to have found Donny Lowy's book titled: "How to make money starting a Business". This book contain an exclusif and excellent information on the Surplus/closeout business. This book is really the ultimate guide for anyone who would like to make big profit in the surplus business. I personally think that there's nothing on the market that can touch this book and the secrets revealed in it.
Rating: Summary: Enjoyable and informative Review: Definitely worth reading if you are self employed, or plan on working for yourself. The author writes about his experiences in the closeout business and how you can start and make money in the closeout industry.
Rating: Summary: Enjoyable and informative Review: How to Make Big Money Starting a Business takes the reader through the process of starting and running a closeout, surplus, overstock, auction, and mail order business. What is refreshing is that the reader is given solid advice based on the experiences of the author who has been involved in all of these businesses. You will learn how to find closeout, surplus, and overstock merchandise. Since selling the merchandise you buy is essential to any business, the author also takes you through all of the available options that you have for selling the closeouts, surplus, and overstock that you will learn how to buy. There are many approaches featured including selling online, selling through a store or flea market, and selling through the mail order. If you are involved in any of those businesses you can benefit a great deal by reading How to Make Big Money Starting a Business.
Rating: Summary: Great Start-up Business Ideas Review: The book makes a strong case for starting a surplus/liquidation business. It gives step by step instructions on what needs to be done to succeed in each of the five business structures: surplus dealing, closeout brokering, liquidating, auctioneering, and mail order selling. Highly recommended. I also recommend Donny's "The Guide for Penny Stock Investing." If you invest in penny stocks, this book may help increase your overall returns.
Rating: Summary: Gold mine of information Review: This book is a great source for information on how to start a business. You will learn more from this book than you would if you got an MBA from Harvard.
Rating: Summary: Basic business Review: This book is great for anyone who does not have any idea about starting a surplus products business. But for those who are looking for something truly insightful and meaty you will be dissappointed. The practice of "Buy Low, Sell High" are covered well but not much more. The editing and grammar are some of the worst I have ever seen for a professionally published book. It would fail a 9th grade english class. Overall I was dissapointed with the book. It didn't nearly satisfy my need for more in-depth information.
