Review: (From a PH.D. student in economics) Learning econometrics without knowing an appropriate statistics software is impossible nowadays. I've been searching for a book like this for a couple of years. If you are like me, you will agree it is almost impossible to find a book satisfying such a need. This maybe is the only book available now to combine the study of econometrics with a flexible computer software. You really don't have to have the textbook which this book is supposed to be used with. This book can be used with any basic econometrics text. Well organized. You will learn simple but fundamental econometrics hand in hand with efficient GAUSS programming. Besides, look how cheap it is! In economists' jargon, marginal benefit is way above marginal cost.
