Rating: Summary: A very good start! Review: I got this softcover booklet when it first came out and loved it immediately. The advice or directions are done in both French and English. This is the ONLY printed material on Pareo wrapping that I could find. The photos are sharp, vibrant and detailed. Even without the written instructions, one can readily see by the pictures alone how to do each style. Though the styles do get a bit more tricky as you go through the booklet. The pages are split top and bottom with the left page portion showing the finished Pareo and the right page showing one to three intermediate steps, though two is the usual number of photos of intermediate steps. There is partial female nudity in a few pictures and a male model shows how men can wear Pareo in two variations. This booklet doesn't quite make 5 stars because: 1) While the most common Pareo variations are shown, there are far more that aren't even hinted at. 2) This booklet SHOULD have been a book, by increasing the size or number of pages, even without adding new Pareo styles. 3) With one exception, there is no disclosure of Pareo sizing and no disclosure of model sizes. Having such info would allow one to adjust sizing accordingly. Most of the people I know are not as petite as Tahitians, or as slim as the models shown. 4) This may not be a fair criticism here, but a listing of where to find Pareos of the type photoed would have helped quite a bit.
