Summary: The Definitive Guide to Speaking FOR MONEY NOT FREE
Review: Are you a great speaker? Do you shine at Toastmasters or when you do a corporate presentation. Do you have a life-story to share or a cause that you believe in enough to want to influence other people with your thoughts? Then you may be a candidate for being a public speaker. Dottie is the BEST. I took her workshop several years ago and within days got my first $$$ speaking engagement. Why speak for free when you can get money for sharing your stories? Don't need the $$$ -- then give it to a charity or start a nonprofit foundation. What's so great is that Dottie and Lillet (her daughter) are in the trenches day after day helping and guiding some of the top speakers in the world create a business, not just a speech. She shows you contracts, forms, and reference material necessary to being an 'infopreneur' in the 21st Century. Attend one of her regional workshops if you wish. ......

Summary: "The Best Public Speaking Guide For Proactive Promotion"
Review: Dottie Walters and her daughter Lilly are the gurus of the public speaking business and they have created a wonderful book; and I dare say it is the best book on how to promote yourself as a public speaker. Public Speaking is a profession of tremendous integrity, so who better to write about it than Dottie. Dottie is one of my success mentors and this book has played a huge role in helping me to be a successful speaker and consultant. Because of her I am a better PROMOTER of myself.

Dottie Walters has been a proactive promoter of the Speakers Bureau Business and was the founder of Association of Speaker Bureau Owners. Dottie covers every aspect of the speaking business as a proactive thinker, using smart thinking, system thinking, futuristic thinking, and positive thinking. Dottie is the hallmark of a proactive thinker because she is highly motivated, achieve her dreams, recognizes opportunities, overcomes failures, has exceptional values, and promots good change. If you are truly seeking the kind of success and abundance that makes your life 100% livable - you must get this book. Some of the ideas she promotes are found in SUCCESS BOUND, another book built on learning how to live a proactive life by eliminating the fear of failure.

I recommend that you get Speak and Grow Rich, even if Public Speaking is just a spark of an idea in your mind. It will begin to give you the ability to see that with the right topic and the enthusiasm that comes with a definite major purpose, that you can be a confident public speaker too.

My career as a speaker would be, at best, mediocre without the valuable insights, suggestions, warnings and techniques shared within. Summary: You are the best Dottie!
Review: Speak and Grow Rich is positively phenomenal! The wealth of knowledge this book has brought me goes beyond words. After reading it, I was able to embark upon new challenges that have brought a sense of completeness to my life. I was homeless at 17 and I retired at 26! This book has enabled me to share my story and inspire people all over the world.

I pray that the book I've written continues to bring the same kind of value to its readers as Dottie and Lilly's book has done for me. I recommend Speak and Grow Rich to any one who has a strong message to deliver that needs professional polish.

Summary: Must Have for Aspiring Professional Speakers!
Review: This book is extremely practical with lots of great advice AND practical tips! It is an absolute must have for anyone who is contemplating (but don't know where to start) about becoming a communication expert and a professional speaker.

The book is divided into 12 logical chapters and the topics ranged from discovering your target market to becoming the leading authority of your chosen field to setting your Business Headquarters.

Summary: Captivate, Motivate and Persuade Your Audience
Review: Whenever you publicly speak it is as though everything is suddenly in fast forward. Speaking to several people at once, while they all pay such close attention, without responding to you, as a one-on-one conversation does, is not something that we do everyday, as a major part of our self-definition.

And this wonderful book helps readers to first accept this, then to work with it, so that you are comfortable in being a public speaker.

I am extremely grateful for this book, because, after I read this book, and reviewed my notes, I created an introspective document, that walks me through the entire pyschological, emotional and social process of speaking. I captured, in detail, what my eye contact is like, and why, I also captured my breathing, throughout my public speaking.

Without going through more details than there is room on this review, when you read this book, and truly walk through the process, including the expert testimonials, as you open your mind to the possibilities for yourself, you will give such wonderful presentations that you will look forward to your next chance to present to an audience.

I especially appreciate the visual tool that Ms. Waters gives, to help all public speakers to be organized and thorough. She uses the idea of a tree - the trunk, the branches, and the leaves.

When you picture that tree, you see in your mind's eye, your theme, your main points, and the subpoints from those points. This helps you to focus upon delivering your message in a way that captivates your audience to be motivated to buy into your message.
