Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Disappointing
Review: This book promises a lot but delivers little. What is important and useful is usually sandwiched between too many examples, as if you have to be hit over the head to understand that teamwork is important or that expertise is desireable. Also, some of the examples Cohen uses to convince us are a stretch (he twice refers us to episodes of "Baa Baa Black Sheep") and the vast majority of them are based on leaders from the military, which becomes tiresome. Overall, there is not much useful information in this book and there is definitely nothing new.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: One of the best books to come along on leadership
Review: Truly outstanding. Well written and presented. The material is coherant and applicable. You can implement what you learn right away. I would highly recommend this book to anyone working on developing themselves as a leader. A must read for junior military officers.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Cohen knows what it takes to be a good leader.
Review: W. Cohen knows what it takes to be a good leader and he knows how to write about it. I would call this the difinitive textbook for anyone who wishes to learn how to lead. The combat model of leadership works no matter what type of organization you join.
