Rating: Summary: Excellent material Review: I didn't know much about the world of portfolio management, but I thought it was time to pick up some information on the topic. This book gave me an extremely good grounding on most aspects of portfolio management. I feel more knowledgeable and confident now when talking about investments to professional money managers and friends. I would definitely recommend this book.
Rating: Summary: Could be the "Who moved my cheese" of the Parmalat affair Review: Very good explanation of fund management for beginners. This is a good and well-organised attack on the subject - the format is clear and how it has helped me to understand the basics of fund management and I understand from others that it is also useful for experienced fund managers. It has gone some way to restoring my faith in the industry post Equitable, etc. Well worth the money.
Rating: Summary: Excellent for both beginners and experts Review: Was recommended this book by a colleague and have been thoroughly impressed by it. Brentani has done a great job at producing a book that is well structured, clear, concise with thoughtful examples and a great glossary and thus perfect for the novice, whilst at the same time including all the essentials that would make this book an excellent reference for the experienced practitioner.
