Rating: Summary: Reasonable Care! Review: All of us in the work place should be asking the question: What policy do we have in place? Sexual harassment left unchecked can lead to more serious incidents. The more information we provide to the work force, workers and supervisors, the easier it will be to work through these delicate and dificult situations. This packet is a great resource.I also recommend that businesses purchase books written by victims. From them you can have a better understanding of how the victim views the situation and understand the affects these situations have on the victim. Ultimate Power Enemy Within the Ranks is one such book. Another great book is After Silence: Rape and My Journey Back.
Rating: Summary: Reasonable Care! Review: As an employer I can tell you that taking "Reasonable Care to prevent sexual harassment" in the eyes of the law seems an onerous, if not impossible, task to me. At least this pack provided us with a simple process to follow and the materials to do it with. My lawyers tell the company is liable for damages, no matter who commits the offence and even if we didn't know anything about it! Hell, were a company trying to make a living. I don't have time to go around checking on everyones behaviour. They recommended I use this pack so that in the event of a complaint against our company I could demonstrate to a court that we'd taken action to prevent problems. Sensible advice. This pack is down to earth stuff and I'd recommend it to any employer who can't afford an army of HR staff. I just needed a solution and this was it.
Rating: Summary: Disappointing! Review: Despite the positive reviews to the contrary, this package was a great disappointment. The .pdf files have typos (! ) and the suggestions were very simplistic.
Rating: Summary: This kit makes sexual harassment training easy! Review: We thought the Employers Reasonable Care Pack did just what it claimed. It was easy to use and apply. I thought the Employee workbook did a great job of making sure that I had taken "reasonable care" in the eyes of the law. This was definately the least expensive solution I could find.
