Review: As an experienced loan officer, I was initially apprehensive about reading this book that a fellow loan officer at my company purchased. But, after reading the book from cover to cover, I was VERY IMPRESSED with how well written this book was. The author clearly has "revolutionized" the loan process from pre-qualification to the underwriting process!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: The Most Useful Book I've Ever Read
Review: I am in my first year in the mortgage industry and for the first 6 months of my career I have been totally frustrated by the lack of training and support available to rookie loan officers. One day a friend in the business suggested I pick up a copy of the Loan Office Guide and I can truly say that my understanding of the process greatly increased. I am no longer at a loss of what to ask when I interview a potential applicant and what the next step is in the process. I can refer to the book at any stage of the process if I have a question and as a result a few cases that I had pending have been re-activated and are in submission for underwriting. I strongly suggest anyone considering getting into the business to read this book before they take their pre-certification and exam. It will unscramble the mysteries of the mortgage loan process.

Summary: An Excellent Book for Mortgage Business Persons
Review: I just received this book from my Mortgage company, and I thought this could be another boring Mortgage Guidelines textbook. After I read the introduction and contents, I was WRONG, totally wrong. This is a well-written in details explanation for all the Mortgage Professions Guidelines. From 1008, 1003, GFE, TIL to Federal Disclosures forms; from Loan Initialization to Incoming Calculation; from Loan Processing to Closing Underwritting, even a Mortgage Broker/Loan Officer like me, average made 3 million a year of Loan Closing deals, there are still some of Guidelines I didn't get, this book really helps me to figure out and even more deeply understand the Mortgage Lending Procedures and Guidelines. I recommended this book to those who are new to Mortgage business, and even strongly recommended to those who already are Loan Officer Professions, this book REALLY can increase your productions!!!!

Review: This guide is very helpful for junior lending officers and anyone interested in becoming a loan officer. The tabs in the guide make it very easy to jump to a subject quickly. The authors explain the subject matter clearly with great examples. Even the loan officers where I work read this guide and found the topics were right on the money.
