Summary: What a Treasure of Information!
Review: The topic is not new. Every day we read articles in magazines and newspapers, as well as books, discussing the common place of managing debt. What sets apart this text is the orientation of the National Consumer Law Center to provide an accurate, concise text that consumers should read when they go through financial hardships.
The book do not adopt a moralistic approach, is mostly a legal manual for common users. Readers will be provided with specific recommendations about what to do in different stages of common situations. Some of the issues exposed are: What debt to pay first, how to handle debt collectors, credit rating, credit record, collection law suits, credit cards, home foreclosures, evictions, repossessions, bankruptcies and the like. There is a lot of small foot print in contracts and regulations that we should be aware of in order to protect our interests as consumers.
